Sam had a field trip yesterday to the local park.
His school is right next to a huge local park so every year the end of year field trip is at this park. Nice, free field trip!
I went along as a chaperone. It was a beautiful day! Not hot, not cold. Just perfect.
.We walked over to the park – there is a gate to the park behind the school. It’s that close. As soon as we got there we went on a “Nature Walk.” We were looking for things that were living and things that were not living. After the walk, the teacher brought out popsicles!
Then it was time for the playground! The school principle, Mrs. Floyd, and the Assistant Principle, Mr. Parker even came and hug out with the kids. The picture on the far left in the middle, Mr. Parker is swinging the kids on a “hanging merry-go-round” type thing. The kids hold on and it spins
.Then it was lunch time! We had a picnic.
And after lunch we played with bubbles, balls, ring toss and just had fun in general.
We have the best kindergarten class EVER! I really love all the kids and parents in Sam’s class – and the teachers too!
I’m going to miss them next year!
Sniff, sniff. Love this class!
