Yesterday’s Post

Totally forgot to post yesterday!

I mentioned we had a busy weekend.. or busy Saturday.

In the morning I ran my 5K – it was the Swift-Cantrell Classic. Lots of fun! My time was not the best – 40:28 when I crossed the line, but the “official results” have me at 40:32.

I finished 449th out of 598 racers. I was 39th in my age group and ran just over a 13 minute mile.

Like I said, not fast, but at least I got out there and did it! And I had a good time!

Next race: June 18th for the Garden Gallop! I am going to try and convince Rich and the boys to run it too. Sam may only do the 1 miler and if I can find someone to keep him while the rest of us do the 5k, then I’ll sign us up!

The boys also had their gymnastics recital on Saturday. It was very cute.

They have both come a long way! I hope they keep it up. They seem to enjoy it.

Sunday was nice and relaxed! Perfect for Mother’s Day!

We had a family cook out at Lunch and had hotdogs on the barbecue. Our pool opened this last weekend so we went to the pool – I didn’t go in!

– and came home, watched Gulliver’s Travels. Then after the boys went to bed, Rich and I had another BBQ and watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

It was the perfect Mother’s Day.
